Summer + Weekend Camps
What did you do on your summer vacation? Next fall, your answer could be: “I worked at NASA to design a space exploration mission.” Or, “I designed a video game. Wanna play?” Or even, “I trained to be a fighter pilot.” We’ve compiled a list of camps for girls who love science, technology, engineering and math who want to explore. Alaska Summer Research Academy (ASRA) invites middle and high school students to attend day and overnight camps that focus on plant genetics, forensic anthropology, electric car construction and the science of art.

During the five-week Summer Institute of the STEM Program at MIT, girls and boys participate in lectures, projects and experiments in algebra, biology, chemistry, physics, probability, statistics, robotics or pre-calc.

Tech Trek is a scholarship-only, week-long sleepover camp that teaches girls entering 8th grade about math, astronomy, engineering, marine biology, environmental studies and life on a college campus.
